BOMBANANA! Cable Module: Which Cable to Cut

The Cable Module is the bomb module with a row of cables and one indicator light. Its manual page says: “Cut the correct cable based on the number of cables connected to the module, and the color of the active light.”

Who sees what on this module

How to call it as a team

The Mute Monkey has the manual, the Deaf Monkey can see the module, and only the Blind Monkey can cut. One routine that fits those roles:

1. Deaf Monkey (out loud): the number of cables and the light color. “Four cables, green light.”
2. Mute Monkey: finds the cell and shows the cable color with a sign you agreed on. Here: yellow.
3. Deaf Monkey: spots where the yellow cable is and tells the Blind Monkey its position. “Third cable from the left.”
4. Blind Monkey: counts from the left and cuts that cable.

Tip

There are only 8 answers, so a Mute Monkey who learns the table can answer instantly. Agree on color signs before the first bomb; our callout card generator helps.

Hint without spoilers

• Only two things matter: the number of connected cables and the color of the light. Say those first, nothing else.
• The manual gives a cable color, not a position. Someone who can see still has to turn it into a position for the Blind Monkey.
• The same light color gives a different answer for 3 and for 4 cables, so never skip the count.
